Enemies Foreign And Domestic…
By Jim E. Reames (04/14/03)
Throughout my life there have been many occasions when the prerequisite of my employment was to take a sworn oath, the first being when I was drafted into the United States Army in the fall of 1966, then again when I pinned on the badge of domestic law enforcement, then as the mayor’s assistant in Caldwell, Idaho and once more as an employee of the federal government. Although, the wording of those oaths have varied from job to job, the spirit of the pledge has been the same.
''I, Jim E. Reames do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.''
Like everyone who takes this oath we do so with serious candor. Moreover, we all know the United States of America has enemies who are both foreign and domestic.
"Domestic enemies" are those who in all too many cases use the full strength, power, and advantages of the United States Constitution in order to attack from within. And one such enemy of the United States is the “…infamous eco-thug” Craig Rosebraugh as he was so labeled by Michelle Malkin, author of “Invasion: How America Still Welcomes Terrorists, Criminals and Other Foreign Menaces to Our Shores.”
On April 3, 2003, Rosebraugh put out the call for his antiwar troops to take "direct actions'' against U.S. military establishments, urban centers, corporations, government buildings and media outlets. As Malkin so accurately documented Rosebraugh has recently posted a manifesto to many left-wing web sites. Some of the highlights of this manifesto read:
"Attack the financial centers of the country. Using covert or black-block techniques ... physically shut down financial centers which regulate and assist the functioning of U.S. economy. This can be done in a variety of ways from massive property destruction, to online sabotage, to physical occupation of buildings."
"Large-scale urban rioting. With massive unrest and even state of emergencies declared in major cities across the country, the U.S. government will be forced to send U.S. troops into the domestic arena, thereby taking resources and political focus away from the war."
"Attack the media centers of the country. ... Using any means necessary, shut down the national networks of NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, etc. Not just occupations, but actually engage in strategies and tactics which knock the networks off the air."
"Spread the battle to the individuals responsible for the war and destruction of life - the very heads of government and U.S. corporations. No longer should these people be able to hide behind their occupations, living their lives in peace while they simultaneously slaughter countless people. Hit them in their personal lives, visit their homes and make them feel personally responsible for committing massive atrocities."
"Make it known publicly that this movement DOES NOT support U.S. troops as long as they are serving an unjust and horrifying political regime. Create an atmosphere lacking of support to assist U.S. troops at home and abroad in losing their morale and will to fight. If you are supporting the troops, you are supporting this war and the very U.S. government that is the primary terrorist regime in the international arena."
"Actively target U.S. military establishments within the United States. ... Use any means necessary to slow down the functioning of the murdering body."
"When engaging in the above six activities, strike hard and fast and retreat in anonymity. ... DO NOT GET CAUGHT. Do not get sent to jail. Stay alert, keep active and keep fighting. Remember, an action is only good (especially at this juncture in U.S. society) if it will serve to severely disrupt the political system of the country, its economy and the corporate interests that drive this society.''
I completely concur with Michelle Malkin when she wrote, “These green saboteurs aim to destroy our livelihoods and our military in the name of ‘peace.’ Our government must treat them as enemy combatants, not misguided imbeciles, and use any means necessary to stop them in their terrorist tracks.”
But how do we fight "domestic enemies" when these militants are armed with their own lawyers who fully understand how to manipulate and take advantage of the United States Constitution? This is the main legal issue which separates our ongoing war on terrorism here in the United States vs. on foreign soil.
On foreign soil we kill them...because they are the enemy! But here in America we must grant these criminals full protection of the Fourth, Fifth, Ninth, and other Constitutional Amendments, and full due process.
I, personally, prefer adopting a “Zero tolerance” policy on the part of law enforcement of not permitting militant protesters to exploit the meaning and the intent of our Constitution to grant themselves the self-assigned permission to break other laws. Most thankfully, the First Amendment gives all of us the right to peacefully express ourselves in public. But it does not grant to anyone the assumed, self appointed, right to violate other laws in the process. For example, it does not give militant protestors the right to block the passage needed by fire trucks or ambulances used by the general public. It does not grant them the right to disobey the lawful command of a police officer. It does not grant them the right to trespass on and destroy private property. And it does not grant them the right to, in some cases, create million dollar-per-day cleanup costs caused by their actions.
So in the spirit of that “zero tolerance” policy I fully concur with the use of rubber bullets and powerful teargas---if this is what is required to quickly disburse crowds that become adamantly illegal in the name of civil protest.
But of greater importance than using rubber bullets and tear gas it is essential for all Americans to understand the modus operandi and the motive of the many anarchist who claim and exploit the full power of being United States citizens in order to attack and destroy much for which the United States stands.
For decades the anarchists have hidden behind the false vail of defending the environment, or defending the rights of animals, or using the power of the law to defend the rights of endangered species, always at the expense of American industry and American agriculture. Because of them entire industries have been economically destroyed.
In the name of separation of church and state they attack the United States by successfully erasing the fundamentals of Christian influence from our government.
As sad as it is, many of these groups have successfully aligned themselves and their causes with the Democratic Party, and with the Hollywood elite, and with the Mainstream news--America's own triad of evil. They have successfully deflated our social values. They spew lies upon the vehicle of slander. They have successfully used entertainment, music, illegal drugs, our courts, the advertisement industry, and peer pressure to socially brainwash an entire generation of followers. They have lowered our demands for educational excellence. They have destroyed our criminal justice system, at the expense of billions of tax payers dollars, and at the greater expense of personal accountability. Throughout the 1990s they turned the White House into a whore house, and let slip our national secrets of self-defense. Upon their false alter of diversity they have divided a nation that was once "one nation under God."
Now comes the story...the written confession...of Eason Jordan at CNN that his news agency has maintained a censored-muffle on the atrocities in Iraq for the last ten years (Reference http://www.Newsmax.com) and by doing so was granted special rights that helped inflate their own viewer rating. Thus, CNN has been in bed with the devil!
That confession forces me to ask whether or not CNN has snuggled up close and warm to the triad of evil so as to be on the inside circles there, too, that you might be given first scoop news tips in order to maintain additional viewer ratings here in America? How dare you call yourselves "reporters" of the truth--You killers of freedom! You and your kind have helped to destroy the Democratic Party which, in spite of itself, has many members who love freedom and truth just as much as do Republicans. But because of you--truth has been denied! It has been falsified. You have made a bastard that very process we citizens depend upon "...the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth" to make our own logical decisions about life and political policy. For your own selfish greed you have destroyed the very freedom that millions of brave soldiers have fought and died to protect since the birth of this great nation.
Unless and until the Democratic Party can rid itself of these parasites it will have no credit, this Democratic Party that used to stand for human rights but because of you turns a blind eye and a deaf ear to evil.
Having failed the political process (with the Democratic Party now on the wrong side of history) people like Craig Rosebraugh are now calling for acts of terrorism right here on United States soil, no different than were the murderous attacks of “The Weathermen” and the “Black Panthers” back in the 1960s and 70s. Like the very cowards who hide behind women and children on the battlefield your call is for murder and arson and, therefore, you are my enemy.
The time is long overdue for all Americans to recognize these militant protestors for what and who they are. And it is the responsibility of the Democratic Party to quickly rid themselves of these politically correct tyrants, the sooner the better.
With a clear vision we need to focus on who our true “domestic enemies” are, because they are dangerous. You are criminals. And someday you will be placed into handcuffs, then into prison--where you will have “. . .the right to remain silent!”
