Kerry And Dean: There They Go Again!
By Gordon Bloyer (01/29/04)
After the New Hampshire primary Senator John Kerry and Howard Dean once again claimed that they want to ''take back the country.'' The country is going in the wrong direction they claim. Dean said he doesn’t support issues just because they are popular. What are these guys talking about?
Ninety-four percent of the workforce is working. The economy is the best in twenty years. Interest rates and inflation rates are low. The stock market is headed for record territory. Welfare roles are declining because of welfare reform. We have the best healthcare system in the world, people come from around the world to get treated here. The poor are getting richer, they pay no federal income tax. Taxes have been cut for ALL working Americans. Black American income is on the rise.
We have won the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The terrorists have been isolated in the Middle East. Libya, Iran, North Korea, and Syria are quaking in their boots. We have support of NATO. Free nations in the world support us, France and Germany are aberrations. We are the most powerful nation in the world. There have been no terrorist attacks on our homeland since 9/11.
What more do you want? Just what part of this, do Kerry and Dean want to change or take back.
Do we have some problems, of course. Medicare and Social Security need fixed. Our school system is a mess. We need to reduce the deficit by increasing economic growth. We need more jobs. We need to stop reverse discrimination and special rights for special interest groups. We have too many liberal judges on our courts. Some corporations are run by crooks. We need to stop frivolous lawsuits by trial lawyers, like John Edwards. We need to change the tax system so we can quit taxing production and hard work. We need to catch Bin Laden. We need to crush the terrorists in Iraq. We have to get the nuclear weapons away from North Korea.
Most of these problems can be solved if the looney left would stop blocking the solutions. We can solve the healthcare problems with medical savings accounts. We can fix Social Security with options for private accounts. Our schools will improve with a voucher system. We can stop reverse discrimination and special rights for special interest groups by getting more judges on the courts that will follow the Constitution. We need to pass legislation that will give large penalties for frivolous law suits. We can create more jobs by changing the tax system to a flat tax or replacing the income tax with a national sales tax.
The war on terrorism is the biggest problem. Kerry and Dean offer no solution to this problem. They just cry for help from France and Germany. We don’t need permission from these countries. President Bush’s program is working. He is making changes as needed.
As for Dean’s claim that he doesn’t support issues just because they are popular, did it occur to him that certain issues are popular because they are right. Gay marriage is not popular because it is not right. Tax increases are not popular because they are not fair or right. The war in Iraq is supported because it was right. National Health Insurance does not work in any country where it has been tried.
No one is trying to illegally cross the border to get into France, Germany, Russia, or any other country in the world. The whole world wants to escape to the United States, so much for us not being admired or respected around the world. If everything is so bad here where is the long line of people trying to leave our country?
The Democrats live in some other country than most Americans. They live in the Gloom & Doom States of America, but I live in the USA. Go USA!
