There’s Nothing Gay About This Latest Attack On Traditional Marriage

Every time that I get in the mood to write about a hot button topic I find myself feeling like Dennis Miller prefacing his statements with, “ I don’t want to get off on a rant here, but…” Wasn’t that nice of me to warn you? Because warn you I did; I feel a major rant coming on and it’s not going to be pretty.
What’s making me go ballistic is that I just finished watching the news and the talking heads were already fantasizing about legalizing gay marriage. The Supreme Court’s penumbral hallucination of homosexual rights as “guaranteed” by the Constitution was judicially legislated mere seconds before. Liberals sure don’t waste any time when they think their agenda’s on a roll!
Now, maybe it is just me, but isn't gay marriage about as ridiculous a concept as can be made? If gay marriage is legalized, as it looks like it is in parts of Canada and the U.S., what does that say about the traditional marriage between a man and a woman? Marriage predates Church or government sanctions. It is the union of a man and a woman with the hope of producing children. It is a sacred bond that is only witnessed by a Church official or a government registrar; the actual pact is between the man and woman. That union is the natural expression of the Universe, which works on the male-female principal. That’s why you have male/female, positive/negative, and yin/yang to begin with. This male/female orientation is the natural order of Things, not male/male or female/female. Homosexuality, by its very orientation is a non-reproductive, unnatural, perverse practice.
Marriage is the very foundation of our society yet it is being ruthlessly attacked and weakened by the liberals through the homosexual agenda. Strong, traditional marriages produce solid, conservative citizens and healthy, alert, and secure children. They will look to God for guidance and reject social engineering. To them the State is not the ultimate voice of their existence like it is for the Liberal. As a united front a married couple can guide and protect their children from the pitfalls of Liberal licentiousness and manipulation.
The Liberals do not want to rule thinking men and women because it’s easier to herd animals. That’s why our institutions like marriage are so ruthlessly attacked and promiscuity and perversions are glorified. Gay marriage is a “twofer” for the Liberal: Destroy the institution by mocking its intent with perversity and reduce people to their animal natures by identifying with unnatural lusts.
Government regulation of marriage is historically a new phenomenon, having made it’s intrusive appearance in late 18th Century France at the height of the French Revolution. The French revolutionaries were atheists and wanted to get God out of French life. They instituted wedding magistrates and valid state marriage licenses in order to attack the authority of the Church. Because God was ruthlessly erased from statist marriages, the State then took on the role of highest authority of marriage and the sanctity of legal unions was thereby undercut. Without God and a notion of behavior based on religious principles, the institution of marriage becomes the experimental plaything of social engineers. That’s why it’s the government in leftist-liberal countries like Canada and some of our more whacked-out states that first caved into the demands of homosexuals.
As a friend of mine loves to say, “Damn frogs.”
Gays, however, are not content with just a civil ceremony, which they didn’t even need in the first place. There are plenty of legal measures one can take to ensure right of inheritance and medical coverage without subverting law or morality. No, they want their unnatural associations accepted by everybody and that means the Church is next. Civil ceremonies are only half of the marriage enchilada and homosexuals want it all with rice. The squealing and shrieking about wanting a full Church ceremony will be next and any Church that refuses to marry them will be accused of hate crimes.
The last time I looked, the United States is a nation of laws. We’ve all heard this right? I mean, it was in all the papers! Perhaps it is time to re-examine what our laws are based upon. Everything must have a foundation on which it is based; our country is based upon Judeo/Christian values, which is the foundation of our constitution. Although the Founders conceived a country without an establishment of a state religion, they attributed our rights as God-given and therefore inalienable. Even without that state Church our nation has moral values.
Like our national foundation, our children must have some foundation on which to make their life decisions. Gay marriage in this context can never be accepted because it is outside of the laws of the land, laws founded on Judeo/ Christian values. Despite the elites pressuring of the weak willed Sandra Day O’Connor on the Supreme Court, the decision handed down by that Court is not infallible. If it was, we’d still be slave owners since the US Supreme Court ruled once that slavery was Constitutional. In 1986 the same Texas law that was successfully challenged this time by the homosexual front was upheld as valid. What changed during that time? It was the people on the Supreme Court.
So, in the case of gay marriage, The Supreme Court is either 1) not following our basic foundation, or 2) really doesn’t take that foundation all that seriously in the first place. By institutionalizing the leftist-Liberal agenda the only prerequisite now in making decisions today devolves down to the consent of two adult people. If two adults agree to certain behavior, it is the “I’m ok, you’re ok” idea. That means that prostitution, bigamy, and polygamy, bestiality (Hey! That goat said, “Baaaaa!” when I asked it if it wanted me to stop!), suicide pacts, etc. are not far behind.
Add the push by the homosexual front to lower the age of consent and to adopt children and you can see what the ultimate aim is. Have to find those recruits somewhere and what could be more convenient than right there at home? Until the Boy Scouts succumb to threats, the schools and churches will just have to be the “happy hunting grounds” for fresh meat.
