The Third Way Leads To The Third World

Every once in a while someone in a position of power lets the real truth slip out about the way things really are or what they have planned for us mere mortals. Two examples of how the way things work were admitted in Italy and the US. Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi caused a major firestorm of outrage in the Muslim World when he stated matter-of-factly that Western Civilization was superior to Islam.
Before that US Secretary of State, Colin Powell, slipped up in a TV interview by admitting publicly that American Social Security numbers are used to track Americans. There was consternation by politicians over that admittance. Republicans reminded everyone that SSNs were NEVER meant as personal identification and Democrats went ballistic trying to cover up the fact that that is EXACTLY what those numbers were meant for. All this did was lend credence to the grass roots notion that Colin Powell is a RINO (Republican in Name Only) and that there is ultimately no difference between the two parties.
Another cat was let out of the bag recently by none other than US Senator Hillary Clinton (D – NY) when her comments were posted online in an interview with Germany’s Der Spiegel. She was doing her usual Democratic Party political shtick questioning US intelligence and hinting that President Bush lied about the need for Operation Iraqi Freedom. As she busily rewrote Bill Clinton’s presidential history for her socialist readers and further put down President Bush’s US foreign policy towards Europe, Clinton started talking about the need for an interdependence between the US and Europe. She wants, "…a secure and solid foundation" for relations with Europe, instead of "relying only upon our [U.S.] military strength."
Okay, so much for NATO. Belgium is busily killing off that association anyway with its nuisance lawsuits for Iraqi war crimes against President Bush, Colin Powell, Donald Rumsfeld, and British Prime Minister Tony Blair to name a few. How does Hillary Clinton propose this closer alliance anyway if the US is no longer to lead from strength? Well thanks to the eight disastrous years of the Clinton administration, those wheels were already put in motion because, according to her, “…"for eight years we were on the right course to a globalized and integrated world - which is coming, one way or the other.”
Clinton went on to say that this globalized and integrated world was not only inevitable but also a foreign policy PRIORITY of the Democratic Party! Senator Clinton added that this unified world, "…is a perspective we Democrats have not successfully made clear."
I beg your pardon? Even if we don’t want it? Who appointed the Democratic Party to speak for Japan? Or Sri Lanka? What if China laughs itself silly over the proposition because it sees itself as the ultimate Hegemon? Anybody ask Canada? And here I always thought the Democrats simply wanted America to roll over and play dead. Evidently their foreign policy of a bound and gagged US handed over to the rest of the world to loot and covertly invade through unrestricted immigration is having problems being sold to the voting populace.
Come to think of it, who appointed Hillary Clinton as mastermind and shaper of Democratic Party Foreign Policy? What vehicle are she and her cohorts planning on using to strip us of our national sovereignty and autonomy? The discredited UN? What's the pet project of international socialism these days besides destroying civilization, as we know it?
Next month Tony Blair will be hosting a Progressive Governance conference for world leaders in which he plans on resurrecting the Third Way, that warmed over fascist synthesis of communism and capitalism, which he and the Clintons internalized from the radical student movement of the late 60s and early 70s. According to Blair’s disgraced crony, Peter Mandelson, the world must “move on” from the setbacks dealt to international socialism by conservatives. Per Mandelson, “Progressives have to produce modern prescriptions to match. A reheated state socialism has nothing to offer people in an increasingly interdependent but also increasingly individualized world. This is an opportunity for the progressive politics we believe in to restate its relevance. In the meantime it will demonstrate a new unity of purpose after the center-left divisions over Iraq.”
According to David Horowitz, president of the Center for the Study of Popular Culture, in his article Hillary Rodham Clinton and the Third Way, “The Third Way comes from the lexicon of the Left with a long, dishonorable pedigree. In the 1930s, Nazis used it to characterize their own brand of National Socialism as a Third Way between the “internationalist” socialism of the Soviet bloc and the capitalism of the democracies of the West. Trotskyites used the Third Way as a term to distinguish their Marxism from Stalinism and from the capitalist democracies of the West. In the 1960s, New Leftists used the Third Way to define their politics as a socialism situated between the Soviet bloc and the capitalist democracies of the West.
But as the history of Nazism and Trotskyism and the New Left has shown, there is no Third Way. There is the democratic capitalist way, based on private property and individual rights, a way that leads to liberty and universal opportunity, and there is the socialist way of group identities, group rights, relentless growth of the state, restricted liberties, and diminished opportunities. The Third Way is just a suspension between these two destinations. It is not a goal in itself. It is a bad faith attempt to escape the taint that the Left’s actual achievements have earned.”
As a dear friend of mine says, “Evil never dies. It just goes to hell to regroup.” One has only to look at the havoc Tony Blair and New Labour has wrecked on the UK to see just how bad the Third Way can be. In six years of Labour misgovernance Great Britain has lost control of its borders, has had its military gutted, seen its National Health Service destroyed, its transportation ruined, its schools debased, its agricultural and fishing industries destroyed, and its people taxed to the breaking point. The social fabric has broken down and crime has soared. The police are hamstrung and crime victims are prosecuted if they defend themselves. All this to bring the UK down to the level of it’s European partners in the EU. Political correctness runs rampant while unelected EU bureaucrats draft laws, which override British law.
Blair is so determined to ignore the desires of the British population to disentangle itself from the EU that he refuses to put Great Britain’s membership in the EU to a referendum vote. In his mad dash to obliterate the UK as a functioning nation, Blair dismisses all concerns and calls those against joining the EU “traitors” and “Little Englanders”. Devolution of Scotland and Wales is taking the United out of United Kingdom. Plans are in place to divide England up into regional assemblies, which, not surprisingly, are drawn along the exact same lines as Hitler’s plans for English regional assemblies once his Third Reich had conquered Britain.
The US was following a similar path under the Clinton Administration. What saved the US was our 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, which allows a person to be president twice and no more. That meant Bill Clinton was SOL for a third term. However, that doesn’t keep out Hillary Clinton from trying to become America’s first woman President in 2008! The Clintons will be at next month’s Progressive Governance conference and evidently Blair expects them to be in the US driver’s seat to restart America’s socialist ruin.
