What Would You Do With GodBlessAmerica.org?

“God Bless America”
What does it mean to you?
I had that question posed to me in a unique way this past weekend. I was approached with the opportunity to take the domain GodBlessAmerica.org and turn it into a Web site that would live up to the domain’s iconic nature. The task seems daunting and I would like to ask my friends at AmericanDaily.com what they would like to see appear on the site.
GodBlessAmerica.org will more than a Web site. We trust that the site will be a springboard for an organization with the mission:
In an increasingly secularized society GodBlessAmerica.org exists to promote and protect the tradition and heritage embodied in the phrase “God Bless America.”
Our first offering will be the option to sign up for internet access under the GodBlessAmerica.org brand. Not only will this allow dialup users to gain access to the Internet. Not only will it give them the option of filtered access and E-mail. It will allow members of the project to express their support for the mission by helping to populate the Internet with thousands of E-mails such as yourname@godblessamerica.org.
It is our hope that we can gain funding through the memberships to provide information that will educate citizens in the godly heritage and tradition of America’s history. We also seek to provide tools that will allow interested citizens to join together on a grassroots level to share in promoting of the mission of GodBlessAmerica.org.
We realize that there are many organizations that share in the mission and it is not our desire to replace those endeavors. Rather, we wish to be a supporting tool for those team members in the mission that belongs to all of us to appreciate our American heritage. We are ready to start communication with organizations who would like to offer ideas and support to make this dream a reality.
We will be conservative in the management aspects of the organization. We do not want money to be the key focus. While we certainly appreciate those who will give financially to this foundation, we hope to make the extra value of Internet access memberships the key source of support.
Stay tuned! But until the new GodBlessAmerica.org is released, please share with me your ideas at editor@commonvoice.com.
