Kerry ‘Abandoned’ His Men In Vietnam
By Gordon Bishop (08/19/04)
Democrat Presidential candidate John Kerry is not a war “hero.” Unabashedly, a Vietnam “war hero,” as he boasts to his corrupt anti-war Democrat minions.
“John Kerry is a craven opportunist who abandoned his men Vietnam, stabbed them in the back once he got home – and has waged his own personal war against the U.S. military ever since he left Vietnam” more than 30 years ago, according to Vietnam veteran James B. Taylor, chairman of Veterans Against Kerry.
“After a lifetime of anti-war protests and a Senate voting record that is shockingly anti-military, I can’t imagine anyone worse than John Kerry to be Commander-in-Chief,” Taylor says.
The Viet vet has been following John Kerry ever since he got out of Vietnam and became a radical anti-war protestor.
“While John Kerry was back in the safety of the United States, he was attacking and smearing his fellow soldiers, testifying (and lying) before Congress, and marching in protests with (Hanoi) Jane Fonda and other hippie radicals…(while) good, honest soldiers were still fighting and dying to end the communist occupation of Vietnam,” Taylor writes in his Veterans Against Kerry newsletter. “It made me sick to see news clips of this so-called ‘hero’ calling American soldiers baby killers, war criminals, and worse.”
Newsweek magazine has reported that John Kerry was “medal hungry,” collecting medals for “minor wounds that others might shake off.” Then he used those medals to get out of Vietnam long before his tour (of duty) was up.
Then John Kerry morphed from the long-haired Hippie and made a public show of throwing his medals away.
Kerry then wrote a book savaging his fellow soldiers, accusing them of atrocities.
As bad as John Kerry was as a Hippie anti-war protestor, as a U.S. Senator “he’s been even worse,” Taylor reports.
The Associated Press wire service reports that “Kerry’s votes in the Senate for more than a decade show that he often has backed or spearheaded targeted cuts in the Pentagon budget.”
Here’s only a handful of his anti-military votes as a U.S. Senator:
- Slash nearly every single defense budget since he’s been in office.
- Cripple research and funding for a missile defense system that would protect America from a nuclear strike.
- Eliminate crucial weapons programs, including the B-1 bomber, the B-2 Stealth bomber, the Patriot missile, the Trident missile system, and the Apache helicopter.
- Reduce the number of light infantry units in the Army down to one.
- Deny much-needed pay raises for the military personnel protecting America.
Kerry also said in an interview that his goal was to “almost eliminate” CIA activity and have U.S. troops dispersed throughout the world only at the directive of the United Nations.”
In 1996, Kerry sponsored a bill in the Senate to drastically “gut” defense spending. His bill was so extreme, not one single member of Congress would co-sponsor it with him, including his mentor, Senator Ted Kennedy, making Kerry much more liberal than his leftist Massachusetts colleague.
Kerry voted against the $87 billion budget to provide the weapons and protective gear to fight the war on Terror in Iraq.
Now, Kerry is trying to convince those who see him as a “fraud and liar” that he’s ready to support the war – yet another lie to win some votes.
Don’t believe a word that comes out of Kerry’s foul mouth. As the flip-flop politician of this year’s election, Kerry will take two, three or four positions on every issue, making any of those positions useless. You take a stand on an issue, and that’s it.
No one knows where Kerry stands on any issue, including himself – and even his Democrat lemmings.
Vietnam veteran Jim Taylor is urging Americans to join his Veterans Against Kerry to stop the anti-war leader from occupying the White House and taking over America with his radical Marxist gang.
