Why Voting For Democrats Is Not Prudent

According to recent polls Democrats have relegated terrorism to the backburner for this election. The fact that 3,000 of their fellow Americans were horribly killed three years ago, that several terrorist plots have been foiled, largely due to the policies of an administration they abhor and people they loathe, does not seem to matter to Democrats.
This is one reason why Democrats have so little credibility.
Senator Zell Miller, a Georgia Democrat, said it most eloquently during his speech to the Republican convention when he said that Democrats thought Carter’s pacifism would bring peace - and they were wrong. They thought Reagan’s militarism would bring war - and they were wrong.
One need only listen to Geraldine Ferraro’s 1984 speech at the Democratic Party’s National Convention to understand why it is impossible to believe what the Democrats say. Ferraro’s acceptance speech, after she was nominated to be the Vice Presidential candidate contained every thing that destroys the party’s credibility.
Ferraro’s oratory separated people. She divided rich and poor, corporations and individuals, men and women, old and young. She separated those who wanted to eliminate communism from those who thought they could co-exist with it.
She said there should be a nuclear freeze, “ We want a President who will keep America strong, but use that strength to keep America and the world at peace. A nuclear freeze is not a slogan: It is a tool for survival in the nuclear age, ” proclaimed Ferraro.
Yet it was Reagan’s nuclear program that brought peace – not Ferraro and the Democrats nuclear prohibition.
She said, “The rules of a decent society say: When you distribute sacrifice in times of austerity, you don't put women and children first.” Yet, she believes in gender equality?
Geraldine Ferraro said, “ To those concerned about the strength of American and family values, as I am, I say: We are going to restore those values -- love, caring, partnership -- by including, and not excluding, those whose beliefs differ from our own.”
However, this is not true. The Democrats are not inclusive. This is a political party that absolutely refuses to have a speaker at their national conventions who believe abortion should be abolished.
The hypocrisy, prevarications, deceits, and demagoguery of the Democratic Party is well established. Since President Bush was inaugurated they have been concerned about nothing else then a Democrat being president. Zell Miller was correct - they have been more concerned about who has the keys to the kingdom than they are about the barbarians at the gates.
They have told lie after lie after lie after lie. They accused President Bush about lying about the intelligence concerning the attempt by Iraq to purchase uranium from Niger. Yet, investigations by two countries and the intelligence services of several foreign nations have proved that the allegations made by the Democrats were lies.
The UN Oil-for-Food scandal has proved that the only ones who were profiting from the Iraqi oil industry were those who opposed the war. The individuals involved were governmental officials of nations which opposed invading Iraq. These people profited while Iraqis starved.
The 9-11 Commission proved that the claim that there was no relationship between Iraq and Al-Qaeda was false. The bipartisan Senate Select Intelligence Committee, of which John Edwards is a member, said that the claim that Bush lied during his State of the Union speech was false. Lord Butler’s inquiry confirmed this.
The aforementioned Georgia Senator Zell Miller, and former New York Mayor Ed Koch are not the only two prominent Democrats who have endorsed President Bush for re-election. Jimmy Carter's Attorney General Griffin Bell, Jerome Zeifman, who was chief counsel of the House Judiciary Committee during its Nixon impeachment proceedings, and Saint Paul Minnesota Mayor Randy Kelly have all endorsed President Bush for re-election.
The Democratic Party has become a parody of its leftwing. They have alienated themselves from mainstream America. They exist in their own world – refusing to acknowledge their ideology is defective.
The modern American Democratic Party is not your father’s party. This is not the party of those who believed in a effective national defense – such as Truman and JFK and FDR.
This is a party that has been usurped by, and is indebted to, its lunatic liberal wing.
