The Difference Between Nuisance And Nightmare

It is not a fully correct assessment to declare that liberals oppose preemptive action. More accurately, one should state that those of the left are offended by the concept of action altogether. The only time this statement does not hold true is when the action in question might foster dependency or lead to a breakdown of capitalistic ethics and hard-won liberties.
If it is bad for America, you can be sure a liberal will love it.
Action, to the left, implies wringing one's hands and blaming everyone but murdering Muslim terrorists for September 11th. Such people do not place accountability on the perpetrators, but rather, lay culpability at the feet of conservative administrations and big oil. Their reaction to a terrorist killing spree is not that of finding our enemies and blowing their brains out before they get a chance to attack again. Oh no. The only correct response for the liberal mind, in the event of American death, is to blame America and to seek appeasement with the butchers. We should disarm, flip over on our backs and turn over our sovereignty to the crooks and thugs at the United Nations, they cry. We should not be so powerful, for that makes others jealous, they rant. We should apologize and beg forgiveness, they wail, for having built a country that offers more freedom and justice than any society in the history of man.
For the sake of honesty, it should be pointed out that occasionally liberals will take preemptive action. Recently they have attacked, destroyed or shot up the offices of Bush/Cheney supporters in Tampa, Orlando, Spokane, Wisconsin and Knoxville - but again their motivation is the opposite of the mainstream. The liberal base hates George Bush for one reason; they know he places American interests first. The interests of France, Germany, Russia and the whole damned Hee
Haw gang at the UN places a far far distant second.
It is no surprise then that so many of the left will cast their vote for John Kerry, a man who as a Senator has consistently voted against ANY military action that might safeguard American soil. It is no surprise they applaud a man who believes that Europe is always superior to America, a man whose character was no doubt formed during the halcyon summers of his childhood spent mostly at the Forbes family chateau in France. It is no surprise they grovel at the feet of a man whose entire career has revolved around taking food from the mouths of those that work, sweat and produce, and giving it to bums and parasites.
Kerry's dream world is that of a welfare state presided over by a collection of tin-pot foreign dictators in K-Mart suits. He is the champion of those who are incapable of making a decision, who wish to be cared for from cradle to grave. To those who live in fear - fear of taking action, fear of being successful, fear of taking a stand and living by their promises - John Kerry is the ultimate icon. He is something of a cross - in their minds – between "Mommie Dearest," Barney the Dinosaur and (worst of all) Jimmy Carter.
To the rest of us he's just a liar and a fraud, complete with George Hamilton tan, Thurston Howell accent and Botoxed brain.
Kerry's true colors came out in his recent 8,000 word interview with the New York Times magazine. Perhaps, surrounded by the pseudo-journalists who adore him, John Kerry dropped his guard. We saw his true vision - minus the obligatory flip-flops - on how the war on terrorism should be fought.
"We have to get back to the place we were, where terrorists are not the focus of our lives, but they're a nuisance," said Kerry. "As a former prosecutor I know we're never going to end prostitution. We're never going to end illegal gambling. But we're going to reduce it, organized crime, to a level where it isn't on the rise. It isn't threatening people lives everyday, and fundamentally, it's something that you continue to fight, but it's not threatening the magnitude of your life."
Note to John Kerry...mosquitoes, ticks, long lines and the John McEnroe show are a nuisance. Bad hair days are a nuisance. Body odor, TV evangelists, Polka music and zits are a nuisance. People who spend a year sitting in a Redwood tree are a nuisance. Katie Couric is a nuisance.
Flying airplanes into skyscrapers and killing over 3,000 people is terrorism. Dropping anthrax into the water supply or bombing a football stadium with nerve gas is terrorism. Feeding people into woodchippers, but not before letting your rape squads have their fun, is terrorism. Declaring Jihad to the death again a few hundred million people is terrorism. Beheading innocent bystanders is terrorism. Hanging opponent by their thumbs with piano wire and playing tic tac toe
on their genitals with an arc welder is terrorism.
Think about this....long and hard. John Kerry equates those who have sworn their lives to kill and torture ALL Americans with the fellow running a Three Card Monte game. He equates those who promote the most draconian form of social control and revel in the most grisly forms of murder with a street-walker in purple hot pants. He doesn't comprehend that terrorists have anointed themselves with a sacred mission to wipe out American lives and the American way of life. John
Kerry does not, in any way shape or form, believe that the fight against terrorism is a war. He thinks it is a law enforcement issue that, with time, will just go away.
I suspect, if John Kerry had his way, he would have advised against the invasion of Normandy. However, he would have whole-heartedly supported giving Hitler two speeding tickets and a stern admonition for disorderly conduct.
This year the Democrats have selected a candidate who views a war against the most fanatical enemy we've ever faced...as a "nuisance."
Have no doubt that, if elected, he will view your heretofore Constitutionally protected rights in exactly the same fashion.
