Ayman al-Zawahiri's Delusions Of Grandeu

President Bush did the politically correct thing and appointed his longtime and trusted friend, Karen Hughes, to be the “undersecretary of state for public diplomacy.” It is reported that her job will be to improve our image in the Muslim world. What utter nonsense and monumental waste of time. The main question is this: Why do we need to improve our image to those who wish us dead?
While Mrs. Hughes is having tea with leaders of Middle Eastern countries, men like Ayman al-Zawahiri, bin Laden’s second in command, have the eyes and ears of those common men trained on them. After all, the terrorists offer poor Muslims riches and a place in paradise--and a guaranteed place in hell if they don’t fight and die for Islam. Assisting the terrorists-in-hiding to get out the word are such Islamic publications as the Party for Islamic Renewal and Jihad Unspun. The lovely and obviously capitalistic Jihad Unspun will even allow you to view charming videos from al Qaeda of attacks, burning bodies, beheadings, and various other entertaining videos of mass murder advertised as “to hot for public broadcast.” This is for a fee of course so it can continue to spread the “truth.”
Both Islamic web-publications profess not to support terrorism but both happily print the call to jihad and then disavow any responsibility for what happens next. Odds are none who run these sites are contemplating strapping a bomb on and dying for Islam anytime soon.
In a recent edition of “Party for Islamic Renewal” that soiled my e-mailbox, there was a translated speech by the illustrious and murderous al-Zawahiri entitled: “The Freeing of Humanity and Homelands under the Banner of the Qur’an.”
Al-Zawahiri opens his diatribe with “In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.” He then goes on to threaten all Muslims who do not quake in fear at the very thought of Allah the Most Gracious and Merciful. Al-Zawahiri reminds them that they must die as Muslims and, be careful: Allah is always watching you.
Al-Zawahiri goes on to tell those eager for any good news that America paid for its support of Israel. The Islamic resistance, with Allah’s blessing of course, won the great “battles” of New York and Washington. Battles? What battles? Some foaming Islamic suicidal lunatics’ kidnapped innocent people; used airliners as missiles to kill more innocent people and this is a great battle for Islam? A sneak attack on a civilian building?
Maybe if one of the planes had hit a school full of children the terrorists could have made a video of the burning bodies of the children and then sold it on Jihad Unspun as entertainment. Popcorn is extra.
What is truly amazing is that the man giving this speech is on the run. Al-Zawahiri is hiding like the coward that he is. He is hiding from the United States. He is hiding from Egypt, where a death sentence is waiting for him. This man claims great victories in Afghanistan and Iraq. He goes on to say that these great Muslim victories are destroying the American economy and how America is bleeding to death from the blows of Islam. Muslims should pay no mind that America’s economy is doing quite well, unemployment is low, the stock market is up, and Bush was re-elected. In fact, the only thing in the terrorists’ favor is that most Americans have already forgotten their “mighty” blow. We shrugged it off like a mosquito bite.
The Taliban has been routed from power and most have been killed or captured. Bin Laden abandoned Afghanistan and put his sights on Iraq, only to lose there as well. Now bin Laden is telling his followers to stop wasting time in Iraq and move on to America. As the Iraqi people riot in the streets against the Islamic terrorists wreaking havoc on their people, things have not gone as bin Laden and friends had hoped. Instead of rising up to help them, the Iraqi people have risen up against them. Hundreds if not thousands of loyal terrorist followers have died in Iraq. Al Qaeda leaders are whining they that can’t find “willing martyrs” in America.
The Taliban keeps claiming that they will return and kill the infidels and regain their power in Afghanistan but we never see it happening. Every time one of them sticks his head out of his cave, he is shot. The day of the Taliban is over.
Once a safe haven, Lebanon is now lashing out and demanding freedom. Hiding places for terrorists on the run are becoming hard to find.
This speech to his terrorist followers demonstrates that men like al-Zawahiri have learned nothing about Americans. Americans have a short attention span, that is true, but if our schools, malls, and theaters are bombed, the attention of all Americans will be concentrated on one thing and one thing only: the elimination of anyone who follows radical Islam. Muslims need to consider what Islam has lost because of the 9/11 attack. Attack us again and the price will be higher than most Muslims are willing to pay. What has already come to pass will be child’s play next to what would happen if there are more attacks on American soil. Any cheers of a “great victory” will be very short-lived.
The attack on America on September 11, 2001, brought only death and destruction to the terrorist movement and Islam. The Taliban was destroyed. Saddam is in prison; his murderous sons are dead. Al Qaeda leaders have been arrested or killed in nearly every country around the world. Many Arab countries are now holding elections and the Islamic leaders are not always winning. Syria is being driven out of Lebanon. The young people of Iran have left Islam behind, sick of Islamic cruelty and oppression. The people of Egypt are demanding free elections like their brothers in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the future Palestine. These people finally noticed that only in the “occupied” countries are Muslims allowed to choose their own leaders. Democracy in some form is exploding all over the Middle East and this fool al-Zawahiri claims victory? Who is the bigger fool? The fool or the fool who follows a fool?
The Palestinian people finally have a leader that is more interested in peace and a future for his people than hating Israel, killing Jews, and lining his pockets off the blood of the Palestinian people. Hezbollah is being told to disarm and stop the killing. Where are these great victories for Islam? Why do those claiming these great victories have to hide and sneak their messages out to be heard and seen? Why do they not walk proudly among their followers out in the open?
Here in the year 2005 there is no reason for anyone with an IQ over 60 to believe the lies anymore. If Muslims want to consider the attack of 9/11 a great victory, they must be able to see for themselves that there have been no attacks since then. The spotlight of truth has pierced the black veil surrounding Islam. The ugliness seen by the world--and by many Muslims--is there for all to see. Radical Islamics try to trick the world by saying Islam is the fastest growing “religion” in the world but they never account for the flood of people leaving Islam because they will not kill for Islam. These people know all the killing is for the once powerful men like al-Zawahiri who want to regain their power, status, and wealth. Allah has nothing to do with it; he never did.
