Yes, Rush is right. On his Wednesday show he told a caller the following…..
“So just to get this on the record: The idea, folks, that the liberals -- including the seven Democrats of the gang of 14 -- ever agreed that judicial philosophy will not constitute an extraordinary circumstance is laughable. They never agreed to that. They all reserved the right to define it themselves individually. The only thing they cared about in this confirmation process is judicial philosophy. Everybody has one despite what some on our side are saying. With lib judges, ideology matters, because they'll seek to implement it through activism. The Democrats have never obstructed any of these nominations because of concerns over the nominee's qualifications or character. It's only been about his propensity to buck the lib activist precedent, especially on the abortion issue.”
It is time to let the liberals know that liberalism is NOT a legitimate judicial philosophy. Liberalism is a political ideology. It should compete in the electoral process, where people can vote for or against their extremist views. Let them convince the people that abortion should be legal and that parents should not be informed if their child wants one.
Let them convince the voters that a doctor should be allowed to put scissors in the brain of an eight month old fetus. Let them convince the people that gays should be allowed to call their unions’ marriage. Let them convince the voters that the Boy Scouts should be forced to have gays in their clubhouse. Let the people decide if English should be the official language. Let the people decide if government can take their house to get higher taxes for city. Liberals can only win on these issues if they pack the courts with judges that will rewrite the Constitution.
The Democrats in the senate seem to think we should have balance on the Supreme Court. That is utter nonsense. We should have only judges that believe that they are there to interpret the law not make it up. Liberal judges make it up. Most court decisions would be nine to zero if we had judges that follow the original intent of our founders. It is up to the Congress to change the law if the court can’t find what they want in the Constitution.
The four liberal judges on the current court should be impeached. There is no place for their philosophy on the court. Reading things into the Constitution that are not there is wrong, it is not balance. Right is right and wrong is wrong there is no in between or compromise position. Liberals always think they can cut the baby in half. They always want a grey area. They are dividing America. They are undermining the war against terrorism. They are the enemy within.
Liberalism used to be considered a legitimate alternative. We now have had sixty years of creeping socialism and that is what the liberal philosophy is, SOCIALISM, and we have seen the results. The Democrats have tried to hide what they really stand for but in the last two elections they have exposed themselves. They can call themselves “progressives” or “moderates” but like putting lipstick on a pig it is still a pig.
Yes, Rush is right and the press should listen to his show to hear what I think. Like Rush tries to explain to the media folks, he is only saying what so many of us are already saying and thinking. He usually says what I think, everyday.
