We've seen how bad Hillary is at taking criticism, we've also seen how poorly her public relations people are at keeping their mouth shut. This immaturity is a telling story. How can America be convinced that our best interests will be met when we can't even be assured someone writing a book in free enterprise can bring out backlashes, intimidation and media blackballing?
Rick Santorum, author of "It Takes a Family: Conservatism and the Common Good." which was written in response to "It Takes a Village." clearly got the best of Hillary this week. during a an interview with reporter Ian Bishop they crossed paths;
"It takes a village, Rick, don't forget that," Clinton called out as the two passed in a narrow hallway.
"It takes a family," Santorum shot back through a veiled smile.
Not content to let the Pennsylvania Republican have the last word, Clinton responded, "Of course, a family is part of a village!"
According to the New York Post Hillary was "Seething" during this exchange and took the opportunity to release "A week's worth of pent-up frustration,"
This isn't the first time Hillary and her public relations people lashed out against an author. Ed Klein's book "The Truth About Hillary: What She Knew, When She Knew It, and How Far She'll Go to Become President" brought out statements more suited to disgruntled high school students.
"We don't comment on works of fiction, let alone a book full of blatant fabrications written by someone who writes trash for cash," Philippe Reines, the senator's spokesman, said.
This is really a black eye to Philippe, who's job it is to be the voice of the Junior Senator. This is a statement you'd expect from an adolescent. Certainly not from an adult, even more so from a campaign public relations manager. The question raised is if these two instances are all it takes to irk Hillary Clinton enough to lash out, can we count on the same kind of inability to maintain her composure with important issues with our country?
Hillary is showing us that she's not good with PR at a few different levels. Recently she went to Iraq and expressed her concern about their soon to be Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari. In response to her statements, Ibrahim shot back "Hillary Clinton, as far as I know, does not represent any political decision or the American administration and I don't know why she said this. She knows nothing about the Iraq situation."
In less than 6 months there are three instances of Hillary speaking out of place, showing poor professionalism and a lack of maturity. Remember, this is as a Junior Senator. The implications of her becoming our president are unsettling to say the least. These are the sort of black marks that need to be evaluated with anyone we are considering to be the leader of our country. if these simple problems are enough to spark lashes like this by Hillary and her Spokesman, what's going to happen when we need her to lead talks with another country on our behalf?
