Hillary still prefers the low road

Hillary Clinton and Margaret Spellings spoke at the National Council of La Raza, a 4 day event that ends today. Margaret Praised the Bush administration for the No Child Left Behind law from 2002. She showed figures that indeed show the Latino group of students (the highest dropout rate among children) had raised their scores in both math and reading.
"These results did not come out of thin air," Spellings said. "They came from a commitment to doing something that's never been done before, a commitment to giving every child a quality education."
"The achievement gap is beginning to close," she said.
Hillary of course took the no defense safe road, telling attendees "You are doing your part, but I don't know that your government is doing its part right now." Citing scores for 17 year old children remained unchanged.
It's not hard to see through this. it's easy to take a stance nobody can defend. Instead of praising the documented success and adding that we need to expand on this, Hillary opted to make the point clear that someone else was doing something wrong. This doesn't make a good politician, it makes a weak minded person who's desperate to steal approval look worse. This isn't the first time this has happened. In fact it's common place with democrats as a whole, but when it comes to Hillary it's glaring.
How about the people of the country take some pride in the fact that the direction we're going is positive and showing some results? This could have made her look a whole lot better. But the bitter, cynical mind of Hillary couldn't do it that way. These kinds of actions will clearly hurt her in the future.
