More fluff and sparkles from Hillary
By JT Thompson (07/27/05)
During her recent speech, Hillary made it clear that she was calling for a cease fire between democrats and that they should work together. Of course what that really means is that she's concerned she won't have the ability to overcome her past failures and negative personality.
"Now, I know the DLC has taken some shots from some within our party and that it has returned fire too," Clinton told the convention's attendees. "Well, I think it's high time for a cease-fire, time for all Democrats to work together based on the fundamental values we all share."
Everyone knows the DLC has been the opposite of progressive. So this statement is clearly just a way to hope for a better light on the subject. There's no action in her statements, no solutions, her talks are all riddled with bashing President Bush in one sentence, then claiming how we all need to come together in the next.
Get used to it folks, this is the garbage she's going to spew for the next 3 years.
By the way, for someone who's focused 'Solely on the Senate election of 06' that speech sure sounded like a campaign statement for the presidency.
