Hillary's proposed Katrina Investigatory Commission fails
By JT Thompson (09/15/05)
In keeping stride with her 'bash Bush' agenda, Hillary submitted to have a panel set up to investigate what went wrong in the wake of Katrina.
This investigation was to have determined what breakdowns and failure resulted from the federal, state and local levels. The goal was to bypass the normal procedures required for such an action. Unfortunately she failed to gather the 2/3 majority vote to approve the action. The failed attempt does not mean there will be no investigation, it simply means that Hillary can't circumvent the procedures, and an investigation must follow normal procedures.
In an independent survey a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll said 70% do approve of such an investigation, while only 29% did not.
