Race Baiting 2.0 : Complete with embedded virus

Hypocrites, charlatans, and con men are ubiquitous among the pretensions, self-aggrandizing black leadership who peddle victimization.
Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton have made careers out of race baiting and accusing ANYone with the temerity to criticize them of being ‘racist’. The old Matt Drudge headline, "JESSE JACKSON TOOK PREGNANT MISTRESS TO WHITE HOUSE AT HEIGHT OF IMPEACHMENT." comes to mind.
However, race baiting and intimidation is no longer the proprietary property of Jackson, Sharpton et al. Larry ‘Nativo’ Lopez has attempted to use it to his personal benefit in the Hispanic community. However, despite some initial success at intimidating critics, reality has buried it’s sharp teeth in Lopez’s backside.
Bill Whalen recently wrote a compelling piece for The Weekly Standard http://weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/006/011rxfvv.asp in which he focused on “the more militant elements of California's Hispanic community, who shamelessly interject race into the public discourse--and whom Democratic leaders dare not offend.”
Lopez has attempted to copy the Jesse Jackson M.O. and he succeeded (for a while).
Unctuous Larry is President of the Mexican American Political Association. He is also a guiding force behind Hermandad Mexicana Nacional (Mexican National Brotherhood). The later is a tax-exempt non-profit supposedly formed to aid illegal aliens. However, ‘The Brotherhood’ routinely plays at partisan politics (not so adroitly) and has been the focus of election-fraud investigations.
Lopez is a ham-fisted exploiter who used Democrats and then Greens to further his personal dream quest. He got himself elected to the Santa Ana school board of trustees until he was recalled. His recall was a product of his refusal to comply with the law.
Proposition 227 ended bilingual education in California public schools but Larry didn’t like that.
Lopez is the personification of the Metcalf bromide that ‘some people don’t want to be confused with FACTS that contradict their preconceived opinions or prejudices.” Author/Talk show Host Tammy Bruce, once told me, “With this tactic, instead of debating those with whom you disagree, the idea of destroying them becomes paramount. Part of my realization was the left does this because there is really no "there" there. They can't debate the issues – or they are too afraid to – because they will lose. And so the solution becomes to silence those who think differently or who challenge the status quo of the left.”
However, reality bites…the Lopez recall vote was noteworthy. It wasn't anywhere near being close: Lopez lost by a 40-point margin. Despite his stated intention of making Spanish the primary language for California, voters rejected him…BIG. In fact, he was blown off in EVERY precinct in the most Spanish-speaking city in the country. Now THAT is contradicting “preconceived opinions and prejudices.”
Once upon a time, long ago and far away, Cicero said, “A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within... But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself… he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation…he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”
Lopez, failing in efforts to “rot the soul”, is reduced to the role of maggot, chewing away at a festering wound.
His over the top bomb throwing rhetoric has turned into mostly duds.
Ward Connerly wrote, “Why won't people like Nativo Lopez admit this? Simple: They are profiteers in what amounts to an industry that promotes bitterness, hopelessness and victimization.”
The chronic disdain for the law has gotten him in trouble, but he seems incapable of understanding what even children and pets learn: there ARE consequences to the things we do.
In November 1996, Lopez was hip deep getting out the Latino vote to elect Loretta Sanchez to Congress. Republican incumbent ‘B-1’ Bob Dornan lost in a squeaker by less than 1,000 votes. Arguably the only reason fraud chargers weren’t filed was the congressional inquiry could only confirm 364 bogus votes and it wasn’t enough to mitigate the 1,000 vote margin.
However, California Attorney General Bill Lockyer has threatened to revoke Hermandad’s tax-exempt status. It seems Lopez has failed to file required IRS documents for over a decade. Don’t try this at home folks…Lopez is a professional and anxious to call ANYone (regardless of race, creed, sex, political affiliation or which NFL they support) a racist if challenged.
Lopez has used ‘racism’ as a rusty blade to eviscerate everything and anything that impeded his personal myopic agenda. When the Wall Street Journal labeled him "the Al Sharpton of Southern California for his ethnic demagogy." This clown actually embraced it as a badge of honor.
Democrats have always been scared spitless of challenging race baiting pros like Jackson and Sharpon. Lopez has banked on using the same leveraged finesse with California politicians. It ain’t working!
Jed Babbin said, “Going to war without the French is like going deer hunting without an accordion.” Larry the Lip is hunting racists with an ocarina. Hispanics aren’t buying his ponzi and his would be victims are no longer intimidated. Stick a fork in him…he’s done!
