Berkelely Paper Helps Fuel Anti-War Sentiment

San Francisco isn’t just for liberals; they live in Berkeley as well. They also protest just as loudly, showing they’re collective stupidity.
The local liberal newspaper, the Berkeley Planet, claimed that the spirit of Katrina was in full force at the anti-war demonstration that was held there recently.
One of the banners being carried in the anti-war march stated: “From Iraq to New Orleans/Fund people’s needs not the war machine.”
An estimated crowd of 20,000 people showed up. Some carried banners calling for an end to the U.S. to withdraw from Iraq, referring to it as an “occupation” rather than the liberation that it actually is.
Kate Giles of Santa Cruz said “It’s really important to construct the infrastructure rather than killing, it makes a lot of sense.” She held up a homemade sign that said “Levees not bombs.”
The Gray Panthers of San Francisco referred to the use of the National Guard in both Iraq and New Orleans as occupiers of both places.
Patricia Jackson, Gray Panthers spokeswoman said “They (the government) brought that war home to our streets.”
Tim Paulson, who is the executive director of the San Francisco Labor Council, and also marched with the U.S. Labor Against the War suggested that all the money being wasted on the Iraq war to kill and endanger our people, should be used for infrastructure, jobs, and taking care of hospitals and education. He also said the money should be used to fix the residents of New Orleans’ problems as well.
Nancy Townsend of El Cerrito had a more personal reason to march in the demonstration. Her son, whom she declined to name, has been in Iraq for almost a month now.
She said “I don’t think the war is justified, and I don’t think we should be in Iraq. My son signed up right out of high school and we weren’t at war then. He wanted to do something good for the country. As a young man, he wants to do something that’s ‘manly.’”
Nancy went to Crawford to support another anti-war mom, Cindy Sheehan.
Acting Chair of Journalism Rick Knee: “One of the more worrying aspects is not just of the war, but also of the entire way the Bush government is conducting things is secrecy.”
First, Cindy Sheehan, and the liberal media shake hands and decide to show their pacifist, liberal, anti-war/anti-American ways. Then actress and author Jane Fonda, goes on the road in a bus fueled by cooking oil to protest the war, and promote her new book.
Now, the pacifists and anti-war liberals of Berkelely California publicly put their ignorance on display, and march in town to once again show their collective hatred not only for Bush, but also for his policies on Iraq and how he came to the people of New Orleans’ rescue.
To all of you anti-war/anti-American pacifists and liberals: keep up the “good work” in protesting and putting your liberal ideology on display, it will only serve the Republican Party better when 2008 rolls around, and you have no credible candidate to support for president.
For you, the road to the White House will be a dead end.
