Optimize your Internet Experience


  1. Check your browser settings!
  2. Make sure your Internet settings are optimized.
  3. Do you have enough memory (RAM) in your computer?
  4. Do you a have an adequate video card?
  5. Your computers Hard Drive MUST Defragmented on regular basis!
  6. Investigate Internet Browsers other than what came on your computer!
  7. Is a website you are visiting just plain slow?
  8. General Pointers

  9. 1) Your browser must check everytime you visit a site to see if the page has changed. The 'cache size' should be something around 20 to 40 MB, larger slows your computer.

    3) The more memory (RAM) your computer has the faster it will run! The absolute minimum is 512 MB, more is better.

    4) A reasonably fast video card with a minimum of 32MB memory (more is better) will make things run faster.

    5) As delivered, your Hard Drive is a total mess regards 'defragmentation' and gets worse every day you use it. This causes everything you do on your computer to get slower and slower and slower,...

    6) All Internet Browsers are different in features and speed! FireFox, Mozilla, Netscape and Opera are a few free browsers to investigate for possible use. Internet Explorer is not the best choice if you want 'speed'.

    7) If a site you are visiting is on a slow web server, has multiple design errors or is not optimized for speed, it will load slow and you cannot do anything about the problem.

    8) If your computer is slow, your Internet experience will be slow! Get your computer to respond quickly for things you normally do and then address why the Internet seems slower than you would expect.
