Statism (Communism/Fascism/Socialism) -vs- Representative Republic

The current political climate in the USA is artificially tilting toward embracing “Statism”.

I say “artificially” because the driving force is a minority of arrogant elitists being supported by miseducated products of a totally perverted education system.

For some 40+ years the MSM and skools have directly and indirectly praised the Nanny and Welfare states while working relentlessly to demonize the “evil businesses, capitalism and corporations”.

They conveniently forget to mention that “evil businesses, capitalism and corporations” are the only ones around to provide jobs and pay taxes to fund the Nanny and Welfare states.

Somehow they also fail to mention that “Statism” regimes work so poorly that various levels of “state control” of freedoms are needed to keep the thing running.

Capitalism is like any other “ism”, it needs some external regulations and restraints to avoid excesses.

Until the late 1920’s/1930’s the USA essentially had a capitalistic model with many aspects running amok.  At that point in time, a pseudo Fascist/Socialist shift was introduced. (The FDR regime the most prominent enforcer and promoter).

The “New Deal” was actually the first of several “Raw Deals” foisted on the American People by Democrats and Progressives.

The overkill, for political agenda reasons, started a crippling and stifling of the economy from which we have never recovered.

Over the years regimes, Democrat and Republican, have essentially maintained the general trend with minor bumps and dips.

As time has passed the “government machine”, primarily “federal”, has grown and grown and grown until it swallows a significant portion of our GDP and has it’s fumbling fingers in most most every aspect of our economy and lives.

The American people are resilient and resourceful, the American economy has managed to expand and more or less flourish despite the best efforts of the arrogant elitists running “Big Brother”.

The economic mess that started to bubble in late 2007 and burst into the open in September/October 2008 was a direct result of “Big Brother” playing games in the “economics system” since the mid-1990’s.  Crap accumulates and this pile finally became caustic in late 2007.

To be fair, indications are that the “September/October Surprise” engineered by Democrats to get a political win in November 2008 was mishandled and they lost control of the scheme. They won the political exercise and inherited an economy pretty much decimated.

Not to be worried, they adopted the “Never let a crisis be ignored for political advantage” position…

“Statists” generally despise Capitalism, it just works and denies them political control and power.  (China has managed a perverted mix of Capitalism and Communism that has so far been fairly successful.)

The European Statists have adopted a “soft Socialism”.  They tolerate just enough Capitalism and freedom among their serfs to fund them and keep them in power.

Indications are that the American Statists believe in “hard Socialism” or “Marxist Socialism”.  This flavor leans toward very strong economic and social domination of the “serfs”. (For reference examine the Cuban, old USSR and/or Venezuelan operations).

Should the American Statists succeed in their current push, our standard of living will be considerably reduced forever, our personal freedoms severally restricted and the envisioned “Big Brother” of 1984 become a reality.

The USA would cease to be a “real” Representative Republic and become at worst a 3rd world “banana republic” or a 2nd world half-assed dictatorship.

Not surprisingly the Progressive MSM has no clue that it is promoting its own demise, it gushes daily about the “wonders of Statism”.

The real interesting phenomenon is the many “big business” operations enthusiastically endorsing and promoting a political machine that will exterminate them in short order. (The management is full of idiots or they have been promised “special privilege” in the coming regime.)

The American People need to get serious ASAP about what’s important for their future.  So far it’s pretty much a free country, make your voice and vote heard no matter what your leaning.  Just be prepared to live with the winning teams idea of government and life.
