‘Israel will drown in blood’
Middle East piece by Offsite (5/31/10)

Ten thousand Turks marched in protest from the Israeli consulate to a main square on Monday afternoon, chanting, “Murderous Israel you will drown in the blood you shed!“ The protesters had earlier tried to storm the consulate building but were blocked by police.

An Ill First Wind Hits the Public in the Pocketbook
ClimateGate piece by Guest: James Hall (5/31/10)

“UPC has been working in China since 2006, and we have seen this market go from a standing start to one of the largest in the world for wind energy. We expect to see sustained long term growth in the wind market in China, and UPC, with support from GEF, is looking forward to participating fully in this market,“ said Brian Caffyn, CEO and Chairman of UPC - The promises of alternative energy generated from industrial wind turbines are suspect when examined on the facts. The basis for justification for the entire industry is that electricity generated from uneconomical technology is environmentally friendly. The public is supposed to accept higher costs from inefficient and unreliable generation just because it is “green”. Touting wind as a free source of energy is dishonest. This old technology from skyscraper size industrial machines is anything but free. The media seldom reports that industrial wind does not produce cost effective reliable electricity.  Cowardly politicians who dare not oppose the industry ignore indisputable and inescapable facts about wind.

Flotilla activists ‘tried to lynch Israeli soldiers’
Middle East piece by Offsite (5/31/10)

Activists on a six-ship flotilla headed to the Gaza Strip had planned to lynch the Israeli commandos who stormed the ship, according to indications at the scene encountered by Israeli forces.

‘Illegal Immigrants Receiving Social Security Checks?‘
ObamaNation piece by Gordon Bishop (5/31/10)

Will YOUR benefits be cut as millions of Mexican citizens begin receiving Social Security checks based on ILLEGAL work?

Obama’s War(s)
War piece by Robert R. Owens (5/31/10)

A war here, a war there, everywhere it’s war, war, war.  General Douglas MacArthur wanted to invade China because they offered a safe haven for our enemies during the Korean War.  In testimony before the Senate the first Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Omar Bradley said, “It would be the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time.“  Today we face endless wars for elusive peace when we can’t secure our own borders.  We’re committed to war in Iraq and Afghanistan; we’ve been rattling sabers in Iran’s direction for years and there’s one more war just for good measure.

How to Prevent a “Dust Bowl” Africa
Food piece by Dennis T. Avery (5/31/10)

CHURCHVILLE, VA - People and wild species are at more risk in Africa than on any other continent. Huge numbers of people are trying to subsist on hunting scarce animals and unsustainable slash-and-burn farming. If this continues it will undoubtedly trigger a Dust Bowl like that of the American Midwest in the 1930s along with massive famine.

US Military’s Biggest Threat Not Terrorists, but Straw Men
Military piece by Jayme Evans (5/31/10)

Ever since Bill Clinton first tried to force the military to allow openly-gay service, many gays and their advocates have argued that they simply want to serve their country; that the issue isn’t about their sexuality, choice of lifestyle or sex, but fundamental fairness. Notwithstanding the fact that gays are currently not prohibited from military service, after analyzing what Congress is attempting to write into law, it appears that the decision to allow them to do so openly is indeed all about sex.

Happy Memorial Day, 2010: Remembering HOW They Serve
Military piece by Warner Todd Huston (5/31/10)

It is very, very easy to forget that the members of our American military even exist. Unlike other peoples we don’t live in a nation where the members of our military are skulking around our streets, automatic weapons in hand, glaring menacingly at each citizen and they pass by during their daily activities. We don’t have soldiers extorting travelers, forcing themselves on politicians, or threatening autonomous action at home. We are lucky like that.

Democrats Imposing Tyranny
   Demercrats piece by Offsite (5/30/10)

The Democrats’ control of the White House and Capitol Hill has resulted in tyranny, says Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, founder of LibertyCentral -dot- org.

Artistic parasites
   Socialism piece by Offsite (5/30/10)

Recently, while attending a crafts show, I had the pleasure of meeting a regional artist named Andy Sewell. I’ve admired his work for years, so I broke down and bought a small print and hung it in my office. One of the reasons I admire this particular artist – besides the fact that his paintings are outstanding – is because I see him everywhere. Any time there is a craft fair or sidewalk gallery or any other excuse for artists and crafters to show their work, he’ll set up his booth and display his pieces. He works hard to market himself and make a living. Isn’t that nice?

Finally, a Sensible Look at Bailouts
Economics piece by Kevin Price (5/30/10)

Political economy is one of my passions.  As a radio host and syndicated columnist I get several free books a month.  They are usually unsolicited and not of much interest, every once in a while I get one that is worth reading and spreading the word on.  “Too Big to Save?“ by Robert Pozen is just such an example.  The book’s subtitle is “How to Fix the US Financial System” and it offers an agenda to do that and so much more.  It offers sanity in an industry that has lost its moral compass and he provides direction going forward.  His book is filled with some important facts that cannot help but wake one up to the causes of our financial crisis and how to solve such problems in the future.

Joe McGinniss Like a Wife Beater Blaming the Wife
Progressivism piece by Warner Todd Huston (5/30/10)

Left-wing, hack writer Joe McGinniss is showing signs of instability. Like a wife beater, he’s now blaming Sarah Palin for being alarmed and upset that he—well known as her literary stalker—has suddenly appeared as her new next door neighbor.

Military Valor and Civilian Shame
Military piece by Guest: Anthony Stahelski (5/29/10)

This forthcoming Memorial Day is a good time to examine our war-fighting policies and their consequences. A key Obama policy is to fight our current wars with an extremely small number of combat personnel who continuously rotate in and out of combat. Overall, approximately 250,000 Americans have actually been in combat in Afghanistan or Iraq, an extremely small number of people to be involved in wars that have lasted almost a decade, especially compared to our total population of over 300 million people.

Obama’s House of Cards
ObamaNation piece by Alan Caruba (5/29/10)

Ever since polls have been taken there have been presidents who encountered disapproval during their terms in office. Usually history exonerates them to some degree. This is not likely to happen with Barack Obama.

Beware The Democrat In Conservative Clothing
Demercrats piece by J.J. Jackson (5/29/10)

I have a warning to the voters of America related to this November’s elections.  That message is beware the Democrat in Conservative clothing.  Electing them thinking you that are going to get a real conservative who is going to stand up for America, limited government and the like makes you a fool.

Public sentiment: Become American again
The Republic piece by Offsite (5/29/10)

With the first round of primaries behind us, pundits are trying to nail down the national mood. Anti-Democrat? Anti-liberal? Anti-incumbent?

Barack Obama’s new world order
   NewWorldOrder piece by Offsite (5/29/10)

It should come as no surprise. During the campaign, he told us he was a “citizen of the world.“ Last week, he told the cadets at West Point, and the rest of the world, just what his vision of a new world order is.

Attorney General Holder and His Non-Transparency
ObamaNation piece by Jim Kouri (5/29/10)

“In 1999, Eric Holder helped arrange Bill Clinton pardons for 16 unrepentant members of FALN who had been convicted of “a variety of charges that included conspiracy, sedition, violation of the Hobbes Act (extortion by force, violence or fear), armed robbery and illegal possession of weapons and explosives—including large quantities of C-4 plastic explosive, dynamite and huge caches of ammunition.“ - More and more Americans are discovering that the Obama Administration’s definition of transparency is more Clintonian and semantic than it is honest and encouraging.

Obama’s Pretense of Leadership When and Where there is none
ObamaNation piece by Sher Zieve (5/29/10)

There are a number of dictionary definitions for “lead.“  But, the primary ones are “to go before or with to show the way; conduct or escort: to lead a group” and “to act as a guide; show the way.“  Therefore, a leader—by logical and implicit understanding—must have followers.

After some digging in the ‘help’ I found there are a few rudimentary brushes floating around in Corel DRAW X4/X5.

The Art of Political War for Tea Parties!! Revisited
TEA Parties piece by Offsite (5/28/10)

After one year in office, Barack Obama, who ran as a pragmatic centrist promising hope and transparency and a commitment to restore the dreams of all Americans, has advanced a narrowly leftist agenda calculated to radically transform our politics and society. He has attempted to create a Big Brother government, nationalizing the auto companies, controlling the banking and the financial industries and pushing a government take over of health care that would make us sicker and poorer at the same time. All the while, he has toured the world apologizing for America, while weakening our defenses against foreign threats, Al Qaeda and the Jihadists, and appeasing tyrants in Iran and Russia.

Lieberman-Kerry bill predicated on a lie
ClimateGate piece by Guest: Robert W. Felix (5/28/10)

27 May 10 - The revamped cap-and-trade (control-and-tax) bill that Senators Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.) and John Kerry (D-Mass.) are trying to foist on the American public is predicated on a flat-out lie.

‘Will the Democrats Nationalize the US Oil Industry?‘
   Demercrats piece by J. D. Longstreet (5/28/10)

Even a casual observer of the Obama Regime would answer the question asked in the title of this piece with a resounding “YES!“  I mean, you can FEEL the electricity in the air when you mention the possibility of Obama nationalizing the US oil industry in the presence of democrats/secular socialists.  I suspect, when out of public view, they are rubbing their hands together and doing a little jig of happiness at the very thought!

State Parks Board needs to act on private contracting
Government piece by GoldwaterInstitute: Byron Schlomach (5/27/10)

Even before Arizona’s last legislative session began, it became clear state parks would be used as a pawn in the budget chess game. Threats that parks would close were used as an excuse to avoid restructuring government in any meaningful way.

The American “TC” Saga - Part 10 - GLOBAL CONTROLLERS
Government piece by Guest: SARTRE (5/27/10)

As difficult as it is for most people to deal with the savage events that shape and manipulate humanity, it is nearly impossible to get the multitude to admit that they are expendable bondage slaves to a global system of hideous design and sinister purpose. The illusion that governments, serve the people is a total denial of history and especially, current events. Human nature requires an eternal struggle against the evil committed in the name of the “public good”. Honesty about their plight under the boot of oppression is too hard to digest. The cause of their captivity refuses to identify their own role and compliance within the cancerous organism that rules the planet.

NAACP Changed its Priority from Politics to Party
Society piece by Kevin Roeten (5/27/10)

Considered the equalizing force in American history, the NAACP held the hearts and minds of mosts Black Americans. But during a recent NAACP convention in Georgia, why would the NAACP endorse a bill passed by the Georgia state senate that would make it a crime to abort a child because of its race or gender, and turn around and take the endorsement back? That bill made discrimination against race or gender cut-and-dry, but the NAACP withdrew their support. It seems obvious the NAACP’s priority has switched to political ‘parties’, and not to discrimination of the Black community.

California Penal Code Section 834b
Immigration piece by Malcolm T. Hedges (5/27/10)

California’s immigration law(1) - as you can see below - is essentially the same as Arizona’s.  It is NOT enforced!!!!

‘Should Christian Jurors Disregard Judges’ Instructions?‘
Law piece by Don Boys, Ph.D. (5/27/10)

A judge usually tells a jury that they can decide the facts in the case before them but he will decide the law. That is not correct. Juries have the final decision as to fact and law. They are more powerful than the Governor or President since those officials can only pardon after a guilty verdict. A jury can affirm that there is no guilt! Of course, that strikes at the heart of a judge’s authority, and most of them resent it, ridicule it, and will resist it whenever possible.

The US Southern Border, Arizona, Obama, and the North American Union
   NAU/SPP piece by J. D. Longstreet (5/27/10)

Those 1200 National Guard troops Obama is proposing to send to the US/Mexican border will be, for most intents and purposes, in the way of the Border Patrol trying to do their job.  Pushing pencils and tapping on keyboards cannot take the place of an armed combat soldier walking guard along that border ready to challenge and “detain,“ when necessary, anyone crossing onto American soil.

Obama To America: I Am Not Accountable
ObamaNation piece by Christopher Adamo (5/27/10)

What seemed at first to be a major gaffe by Attorney General Eric Holder has since manifested itself as yet another flagrant pronouncement from the executive branch that it no longer considers itself answerable to the American people on any issue. Rather, it operates from a belief in its absolute moral and philosophical superiority, and asserts virtually unchecked power as a result.
